I am a researcher at the INCAP Research Center for the Prevention of Chronic Diseases (CIIPEC), where I study how nutrition and public health policies can improve the well-being of populations. I hold a Doctor of Science (DSc) in Population Nutrition from the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) in Mexico and have over 14 years of experience in nutritional epidemiology, focusing on the life-course approach to health.
My research explores all forms of malnutrition, maternal and child health, pregnancy and reproductive health, and the social and urban determinants of obesity and diabetes. I use advanced data analysis techniques to understand complex health issues and develop evidence-based solutions.
I have been recognized as a Global Health Fellow by the Vanderbilt-Emory-Cornell-Duke Consortium and as the Young Scientist Researcher of 2023 by the Inter-American Network of Academies of Sciences. I have published over 25 peer-reviewed articles and continue to contribute to evidence-based solutions for improving the population's health.
Welcome to my research space!
Here, I share my scientific publications on health, nutrition, and epidemiology, reflecting my commitment to advancing knowledge and informing public health policies. My work explores critical issues such as obesity, diabetes, maternal and child nutrition, and the double burden of malnutrition in Latin America.
Each study highlights key methodologies, findings, and implications aimed at fostering collaboration and driving impactful change. I invite you to explore my research and engage with these insights as we work toward evidence-based solutions for pressing health challenges.
